Suitable for wiring light fittings.  2182Y means in every day terms that the insulation is thinner than on 3182Y cables and therefore is easier to work with, especially when running through cord restraints and wiring into ceiling roses.  (3182Y is more suited to more heavy duty applications i.e. Machinery).

The 0.5mm and the 0.75mm refers to the cross-sectional diameter of the inner copper cores. It is not the overall cable width.

Often used on pottery / China lamps that have plastic lampholders.
